Bernardine Evaristo, Reading and talking about her work with Q&A and wine reception

Bernardine Evaristo is the author of six books of prose fiction, verse novels and poetry including Hello Mum (Penguin 2010), Lara (Bloodaxe 2009), Blonde Roots (Penguin 2008), Soul Tourists (Penguin 2005), The Emperor’s Babe (Penguin 2001). She co-edited the anthologies Ten (Bloodaxe 2010) and NW15 (Granta/British Council 2007) and the black British issue of Wasafiri - Black Britain: Beyond Definition (Routledge 2010). She is also a literary critic, essayist and dramatist. She has received and judged several literary awards, she is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature, the Royal Society of Arts and she received an MBE in 2009.
