Professor Bart Moore-Gilbert

Bart Moore-Gilbert was born and brought up in Tanganyika (now Tanzania). He is Professor of Postcolonial Studies and English at Goldsmiths, University of London. After writing several academic books, including Kipling and 'Orientalism' (1987), Postcolonial Theory:
Contexts, Practices, Politics (1997), Hanif Kureishi (2001), and Postcolonial Life-Writing: Culture, Politics, Self-Representation, he is now turning his hand to other kinds of writing, of which this memoir is the first to see the light of day.

About

The purpose of the CLN is to bring best practice across all genres of life narrative work together in one physical and virtual space in order to foster discussion, debate and interdisciplinary research.

All are welcome; booking is not required. Refreshments served.
