Alan Mace (LSE): ‘Bourdieu in the “burbs”; does class still matter?’
Alan Mace has worked as a spatial planner in London where for a number of years he has combined practice and academic work. His current research interests include how residents construct and maintain a sense of belonging in the suburbs. He is currently working on an international comparative project which looks at policy responses to shrinking/declining suburban areas. His latest book, City Suburbs: placing suburbia in a post-suburban world, was published this year by Routledge.
