How we support you
We offer a range of support services before you arrive in the UK and during your studies on the Pre-Sessional course.
Before you arrive
Pre-arrival information
In addition to your confirmation letter, we will send you detailed information about the course, accommodation, arrival information and information about the first day of the course.
Accommodation
Self-catering accommodation is available in secure, modern university halls of residence. Pre-Sessional students are usually accommodated in the Middle Mill halls of residence, just a short walk away from the Penrhyn Road campus. If you wish to stay in this university accommodation, please let us know on your application form and we will book it for you.
International Student Advisory Centre
The International Student Advisory Centre (ISAC) can assist you before (and during) your studies with any questions or problems you may have on a range of matters, including accommodation, financial advice, tuition fee payment, visa renewal and cultural issues.
During your studies
Social events
We organise a number of social events during the course where you can get to know your fellow students and the local area and, more importantly, have fun. You will receive more information about these events in the first days of the course. We have previously organised sightseeing trips to central London and Brighton, a trip to a local theme park and visits to popular theatre shows.
