Dr James Miller was Time Out magazine's 'Rising Literary Star' of 2008. His debut novel, Lost Boys, was published to great critical acclaim and controversy in the UK in 2008. His second novel, Sunshine State, a re-working of 'Heart of Darkness' for an age of economic collapse, was published in 2010. He is currently working on a third novel.

Jonathan Barnes is writer-in-residence at Kingston University. He is the author of The Somnambulist, a fantastical tale of the detective Edward Moon and a plot to recreate William Blake's prophecies; and The Domino Men, a satiric take on politics and government. He writes for the Times Literary Supplement and the Literary Review.
