| Amanda Glauert is Professor of Music and Music Director of Research at Kingston University. As a musicologist she has always been closely associated with performance issues and the aesthetics of performativity - particularly in relation to song. She was involved in setting up research programmes for performers and composers at the Royal Academy of Music (at masters and doctoral level) and in helping establish creative links between aspects of theory and practice. At Kingston she has become involved in exploring interdisciplinary approaches to the creative process - in relation to new technologies and new concert practices, as well as in relation to the musico-poetics of song. Recent conference presentations have included 'Kennst du das Land: Performing the Land of the Soul in Poetry or Music', at the Words and Music Association conference in Vienna (June 2009) and 'Asking Performance Research Questions' at the Institute of Musical Research performance research roadshow (May 2009). |
