AHRC Knowledge Transfer Fellowship Project: filmmaking's role in the Natural History Museum 'New Perspectives' project
The Film Making group is at the centre of the University's ongoing collaboration with the Natural History Museum. The next phase of the project - Museum Lives - involves recording interviews with 50 museum staff. Following this, a number of short film projects will be developed to be produced by the Film Making group. Film Making is uniquely placed to contribute to this exciting initiative which is outlined more fully in Brian Cathcart's New Perspectives report. Indeed, we firmly believe that it is in this area of life narrative and life history that digital video can establish its uniqueness as a medium.
