Volunteer participants required for reading study on Tobii eye-tracker
Researcher: Dr Jo Van Herwegen
Do you have some spare time during the summer? Is English your first language and are you older than 18 years old? If so, we would like to invite you to take part in a study that investigates story comprehension and eye-movements. Taking part would require you to come to the Department of Psychology at Kingston University (Penrhyn Road campus) for one visit of about 30 minutes. During this visit you will be asked to read some short stories on a computer screen whilst an eye tracker records your eye movements. The Tobii eye-tracker is a non-invasive recording device that allows you to move freely. This study will help us to get a better understanding of how adults read short paragraphs and provide us with a better understanding of eye-movements when reading. Furthermore, you will receive 30 credits for the Sona system. At the end of the experiment you will be shown your results as well as your eye-movements that were recorded while you were reading. If you are interested in taking part or would like to receive more information contact Dr Jo Van Herwegen.
