Criminology and Sociology

At the Department of Criminology and Sociology we are concerned with the research and teaching of topical, policy-relevant issues including, among others:

  • abuse and trauma;
  • identities and social change;
  • local and global governance;
  • life span and the aging population; and
  • social space and communities.

We are dedicated to providing a great study and research experience by ensuring that all our students develop analytical and critical thinking and acquire a range of skills and knowledge that they can use in their future employment and/or further research.

We are a friendly and supportive department and look forward to welcoming new students!
