Kingston Writing School provides opportunities for students and writers to publish their work. Colleagues are research active and publish with prestigious publishing houses and in leading academic journals, newspapers, magazines and literary reviews.
Kingston University Press
Publisher
Kingston University Press publishes high quality commercial and academic titles. Published titles reflect the diverse nature of the student and academic bodies at Kingston University in ways which are designed to impact on debate, to generate mutual understanding and to complement the values to which the University is committed.
Ripple
Annual literary anthology of poetry, flash fiction and short stories
Established in 2004, this vibrant magazine showcases a cross-section of the high quality work being produced by current Kingston University Students. Ripple is written by BA, MA and MFA level students and produced by MA students of Publishing, and Creative Writing. Published by Kingston University Press, its editorial and production values reflect the high standard of work by the student publishing team.
The River / River Online
Student newspaper and website
Kingston University's student newspaper, The River, is edited and written by undergraduate Journalism students and appears fortnightly. River Online, the online edition of the paper, is run by postgraduate Journalism students. The multi-media journalists gather and write news, shoot video, and engage with readers through their comments and the social networks.
Mouth / Bite Online
Student magazine and website
Three times a year Kingston University gets a little mouthy... that's when Mouth, the publication produced by postgraduate Magazine Journalism students as part of their MA assessment, hits the news stand. The magazine was shortlisted for New Student Magazine 2010 in the PPA's Magazine Academy Awards and has since launched an accompanying website, Bite Online.
