Profile

I am a neuroscientist interested in interdisciplinary psychological research addressing different aspects of human behaviour. The old dichotomy between internal (cognitive/neural) and external factors (social) can be detrimental to the understanding of the complexities of our behaviour.

Current research projects focus on:
- memory biases in social contexts (in young and elderly),
- self-perception in patients with dementia
- emotion processing in children and adolescents with Duchenne's Muscular Dystrophy
- the role of emotion in art appreciation, including neuromodulation
- quallity of experience analysis of visual information

My lab employs cognitive, evolutionary, neural and social toolkits to address those questions in a wide and integrated context.
