The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences is one of the most research-intensive parts of Kingston University with a plethora of research projects and an energetic research culture. A wide range of opportunities are also offered to engage in individual research leading to degrees of Doctor of Philosophy or Masters by Research.

London Graduate School
The London Graduate School is a doctoral programme, postgraduate seminar and series of events in contemporary critical theory offered in central London and Kingston University. It offers accredited PhD, MPhil and MA by Research degrees, in a richly stimulating and closely supportive environment that brings together world-leading scholars in literature, culture, media, theory, and philosophy, major figures in contemporary art practice, film-making and writing, and ambitious and creative students working at the forefront of their disciplinary and interdisciplinary fields.
