Research in Psychology
Psychology at Kingston was a unit of assessment in RAE2008 for the first time, and over half of the academic staff in the unit were submitted. The panel judged more than 75% of our research to be of an "internationally-recognised" standard or better. The first PhD student in psychology also graduated in 2008. Since then, additional research-active staff have joined us; we have invested further in our research infrastructure; we have recruited more postgraduate students; and the number of research outputs per annum has continued to increase.
Research groups
The Department of Psychology is organised around two main groupings:
Research in the Department has been supported by funding from various agencies, for example: the Economic and Social Research Council, the Leverhulme Trust, the Alcohol Education and Research Council, the Medical Research Council, the British Academy, and the Nuffield Foundation.
